The Japan Islands
The Islands of Japan (日本列島, Nihon Rettō), are an island chain that is made up of five major islands. The etymology of Japan is unknown, but researchers say it probably came from the Malayan ″Japung″ or the Chinese ″Riben″. Its meaning is "Land of the Rising Sun" and it previously was known as "Nippon" and before that it was called "Nippon" in the 7th century. Japan culture is based on its location and developed from its rich history of the Natives and differing climates as well as seasons. The culture developed rapidly in the Heian era (794-1185) along with the Imperial Court, as well as the Feudal era (1338-1867), and then the Early Modern period where Japan started working with western countries and global trade routes. The subculture was noted as more into Japan culture and history that was inspired by stations like local TV stations with Japanese Dramas, NHK world, and Historically based Animanga. The defintion of Japanocist had separated from both otaku and weeabu to a complex general umbrella term that marked being a Japanese Enthusiast.
